Descend into the Cisterns of Karrow
Far beyond the known maps lies Karrow, a cold limestone plateau riddled with sinkholes. The villages are sinking, and the surveyors who once mapped the deep tunnels have gone silent. You climb down to find out why – alone at first, but not for long.
Karrow is a first-person dungeon crawler in the spirit of the classic grid-based RPGs: you move one step at a time, fight in real time with a party of four, and every corridor, secret wall and pressure plate is placed by hand.
How to play
- Move: W/S to walk, A/D to step sideways, Q/E to turn. The map draws itself – but only what your torch has shown you.
- Fight: click a hand under a portrait (or press 1–4). Only the front row can strike in melee – put your archers and spellcasters behind. Watch your flanks: monsters hit whoever stands on the side they come from.
- Companions: Hilde, Brann, Sela and Orrin are waiting somewhere in the dark. Walk up to them to talk.
- Grow: every level brings more health and a choice between two talents. Special abilities charge up in battle – Shield Bash, Double Shot, Hallowed Ground and Firestorm.
- Explore: read the survey stones, look for gaps in the map, and remember which door that strange key might fit.
Early Access
This is an early version with the first two levels of the Cisterns. More levels, monsters and secrets are on the way.
FAQ
Do I have to draw a map?
No. The map draws itself, but only shows what your party has actually seen. Secret walls and hidden buttons are never revealed in advance.
Why can't my priest hit with her staff?
Only the two characters in the front row can fight in melee. Drag the portraits to change the formation.
How do I hold a pressure plate down?
Select a stone in your pack and click the plate in front of you. The door stays open as long as something heavy lies there.
Is my game saved?
Yes – automatically when a level starts, after resting and when you leave. Sign in on SagaArcade to continue on another device.
Can I play on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Swipe in the view or use the on-screen arrows to move, and tap to use things. A phone works best held sideways; tablets work both ways.
