About the game
The realm has fallen, and one crystal tower still stands. Wave after wave of imps, slimes, trolls and wraiths march on your walls — and every few waves a boss arrives. Your tower attacks on its own; your job is to make the right choices.
After each wave you choose one of three blessings: more bolts, chain lightning, fire orbs, frost, thorns and more. Some blessings fit together and unlock a synergy — that is where runs become truly powerful. When you fall, the crystals you earned go to the Workshop, where permanent upgrades make the next siege go further.
How to play
- Survive the wave. Your tower targets the nearest monsters automatically.
- Call down Starfall. Click or tap anywhere to drop a meteor shower there (or press Space). It needs a few seconds to recharge — save it for crowds and bosses.
- Choose a blessing. Between waves, pick one of three cards. Look for the gold Synergy cards.
- Upgrade in the Workshop. Spend crystals on permanent damage, health, range and more, then try again.
Synergies
Synergies unlock when you own the right pair of blessings. They are the key to the late waves:

Worlds and bosses
Reach far enough and new worlds open up. Each one is harder, pays more crystals and has its own monsters and rules.

The three bosses are Gorrath the Demon Lord, who summons imps; Vaelith the Frost Lich, who charges a devastating Frost Nova; and the Ironhide Warlord, whose shield and charge break weak walls. If a boss beats you, that is part of the game: upgrade in the Workshop and come back stronger.
Tips for a longer run
- Early Workshop picks: Arcane Power and Fortified Walls carry you further than anything else.
- Plan around one synergy per run instead of taking random cards.
- Keep Starfall ready when a boss appears — interrupting the Lich is often the difference between winning and losing.
- Play the Daily Challenge for extra crystals and a streak bonus.
- Use the 2× speed button in the early waves you already know.
FAQ
Is Last Bastion: Starfall free?
Yes. The game is completely free to play in your browser. Optional short ads can give you a bonus, like a revive or double crystals, but you never have to watch one.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The game is built for both mouse and touch and works on phones, tablets and computers. On a phone it opens in full view; tap the × in the corner to close it.
Is my progress saved?
Your crystals, Workshop upgrades, records and daily streak are saved automatically in your browser. Clearing your browser data or using private mode resets them.
How do I beat the Frost Lich?
Watch the charging ring above her: when she starts a Frost Nova, hit her with Starfall to interrupt it. Range and health from the Workshop help a lot — if a boss feels impossible, upgrade and come back stronger.
What is the Daily Challenge?
A new challenge every day with a fixed world and two random modifiers. Everyone gets the same seed, so you can compare scores with friends. Playing daily builds a streak.
